Guess what? The Barclaycard Arrival World MasterCard is back and they’ve sweetened their signup deal. They’re now offering a 40,000 “mile” signup bonus.
Since their miles can be redeemed can be used to offset travel costs on a penny-per-mile basis, that’s effectively a $400 cash signup bonus.
But wait… This deal gets even better…
When redeeming against travel-related expenses (again, on a penny-per-mile basis), you’ll get 10% of your miles back. That means that the 40k bonus miles are worth a minimum of $400, and as much as $444. Not too shabby.
To qualify for this offer, you’ll need to apply for the card, get approved, and use it to spend $1,000 within the first 90 days. This card has an $89 annual fee, but that’s waived for the first year.
Going forward, you’ll earn 2 miles per dollar spent on all purchases with no annual cap. That’s effectively 2.2% cash back with no annual earnings cap, making this one of the best all-around cash back credit cards on the market.
Note: There’s also a no annual fee version of this card with less generous rewards (2x miles on travel, 1x on everything else) and a smaller bonus (20k miles) with the same 10% bonus for travel-related redemptions.
Other features of this card include no foreign transaction fees, a free subscription to TripIt Pro ($49/year value), and 0% on purchases for 12 months if you’re so inclined. But really, the deal here is the generous signup bonus and ongoing rewards.
