Money Roundup: Tractor Maintenance Edition

I’m later than normal in getting this week’s roundup pulled together because we just got back from a week out of town and because I spent a chunk of time this afternoon getting our lawn tractor back up and running.

To make a long story short, when I went out to fire it up, I couldn’t get it to start. It turned out to be a combination of a bad battery and a clogged fuel filter.

Unfortunately, I didn’t anticipate the problem with the fuel filter so I ended up having to make two trips to the store. But even with that inconvenience, I got it up and running for about forty bucks. Not too shabby.

As an aside…

If you’re ever unsure about tackling a diy project, be sure to check YouTube. Within two minutes of deciding to change the fuel filter, I was watching a video of someone replacing the filter on the same make and model that we own. Good stuff.

And now… Here are some articles that caught my eye this past week:

That’s it. Hope you had a great weekend. 🙂
