Podcast Review: MarketWatch Stupid Investment of the Week with Chuck Jaffe

@ MarketWatch @ iTunes
“Showcasing the conditions and characteristics which make a security less than ideal for the average investor, pointing out the foibles and fables in one case, so that similarly flawed thinking is easier for you to root out elsewhere, on your own.”

title: MarketWatch Stupid Investment of the Week
format: podcast
length: ~8 minutes
frequency: weekly, Friday
location: Moe’s Tavern

MarketWatch’s Stupid Investment of the Week with Chuck Jaffe is humorous, but it serves a purpose. Every week, he highlights an investment that is mismatched for the average investor (or in some cases, any investor). The investments range from individual stocks, mutual funds, collectibles… any bad investment that is after your money. Once the target is identified, the host is blunt and thorough in his analysis. Any schtick in the delivery or sound effects is easily overcome by the show’s brevity and unique content.

Bottom-Line: At only 8 minutes per week, I’m adding it to my regular rotation.
