"The No Credit Needed Podcast is a personal finance podcast about reducing debt, saving money, and living debt free."

title: No Credit Needed Podcast
format: podcast
length:~20 minutes
frequency: sporadic
preconceptions: I thought it might be in the same vein as Dave Ramsey

The No Credit Needed (NCN) podcast focuses on the host’s experience overcoming debt and his evolving relationship with money. Fans of NCN like the down-to-earth friendly tone and the if-he-can-do-it-so-can-I aspect. Detractors seem hung up on the Southern accent and excessive rambling.

Admittedly, the host does engage is frequent rambling, and the show is not jam-packed with neatly organized content. Instead the emphasis is on the moment when people get intentional with their money, exploring it from all angles. This might seem rudimentary compared to other shows, but I think NCN fills a niche, since so many people never reach that "a-ha!" moment.

Bottom-Line: I’m not going to add this show to my regular rotation, but I’d recommend it to those who need a gentle introduction to personal finance, as opposed to the more in-your-face style of Dave Ramsey.
